Clay pigeon shooting is one of the most popular leisure activities for stag days. Requiring a steady hand and a keen eye if you want to come top of your group you should stick to the shandies the night before!
Once associated with tweed flat caps and green land rovers, it now a very popular everyman sport that can be catered towards any skill level from complete novice to Olympic shooters.
Clay pigeon shooting involves two clay pigeons being released from a mechanical trap, into your line of fire, at varying speeds and heights to simulate the flight of real game birds. The trick is to shoot a double and by that we don't mean downing two shots of vodka! Using a double barrel shotgun you aim to shoot two clays in succession with one cartridge from each.

All equipment is provided including ear protectors as safety is paramount. You will receive expert tuition and be given advice on how to 'lead the clay'. Then you get the chance have a few practice sessions before the competition begins.
The competition is to see which of the stags can shoot on target in a head to head competition. Aim to be the stag that can score the most birds to put you in the running for a personalised Whacky trophy!
