Hen Weekend Ideas

Sometimes it hard to be a chief bridesmaid…. Not only are you subjected to wearing a dress you usually wouldn't be seen dead in for the big day , you endure endless panic filled conversations about table decorations and seating plans and then you also have to organise the hen weekend!! Yes it's a tough job and Whacky Sports will do all we can to make it a lot easier for you.

Make a Hen Weekend of It

A hen weekend allows for more activities than just a hen night, lets the group really get to know each other and really get into the hen spirit. Apart from the inevitable big night out, you could incorporate anything you want into your weekend: pampering treatments or action packed adventures like the ones we offer here at Whacky Sports including quad biking, Honda pilots, jeep trials, target shooting and archery. In fact including a Whacky Sports package ensures that your group doesn't get drunk too soon and peak too early!

Whacky Sports have put together the following list of points to consider to ensure a weekend of happy hens!

  • Start planning as early as possible.
  • Discuss the invite list with the bride.
  • Make sure you have an idea on everybody's budget taking into consideration that you may also be paying for the bride as well. Not everybody will have the same disposable income.
  • Try and choose an event that the bride will enjoy doing and that is also suitable for everyone who is invited.
  • Whatever you choose to do, make sure the bride remains centre of attention - but be considerate don't embarrass her or make her look ridiculous unless you are sure she really can take it. Leave the revenge for the bridesmaid's dress for a later date….
  • As planner and organiser, be proud of your achievement and remember to enjoy yourself!
